So, who am I, and where have I come from…?
Formally known as Lisa Carrington, a Coventry kid, a girl with no direction, majorly mischievous and no confidence in anything I did. Jumped from job to job kidding myself that I would be the best PA, dental nurse, American spy, you name it I thought it. Eventually I followed my dreams and trained with the central school of makeup which was the best decision I ever made.
Today I am a successful celebrity makeup artist with 8 years experience and owner of Nanny June’s Beauty Concept Store and boy have I grown, not only as a makeup artist but as a person.
I am a unique individual who loves life and people.

I believe beauty is much more the just “pretty lashes” or “fleeky brows”. It’s confidence, it’s making people feel good, it’s self expression and it’s trusting an artist to give you the best results.
What would nanny June love about me? I think she would love my individuality, my try anything twice attitude and my love for a nice cuppa and chin wag.

Jane has worked in the industry as a hair and makeup artist for over 9 years. During this time, she has gained a huge amount of experience working as the HMUA for photoshoots, bridal parties, PR events, Cat Walks and many a lady’s hair and makeup needs for a special occasion.
Jane’s passion for the art of makeup and hair includes every genre of hair and makeup artistry, specialising in Vintage and Retro looks from the 1920s Gatsby style to Victory Rolls and the glamorous Hollywood Waves of the 40s & 50s and the Bouffant’s and Beehives of the 60s there isn’t a style which Jane can’t recreate.
And if that isn’t enough, this girl can sing, play the fiddle and has her own Aromatherapy skincare and well-being brand Balmy Beauty.

From leaving school with Nothing to carry me forward apart from my whit, northern charm and a little self belief a career in the armed forces from a young boy to a young man landed my feet firmly on the ground. With a love for challenges and high expectations from one’s self, after just a couple of career changes I ended up as a builder, however, not just any builder a jack of all trades and a master of none 😂. Now a project manager for a major construction company, this boy done good.
Stepping into a new challenge as part owner of a Nanny Junes with Lisa Little is now where my my heart lays.

I started my journey at Regis before retraining with Toni & Guy, where I built a strong foundation in prescision and style. Later, I took my skills international, working in Dubai at the luxurious Bulgari Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton, which gave me the chance to work with clients from all over the world.
Blondes, browns, greys and hair extensions are my specialities – they’re my absolute passion.
